How I Take My Photos

As a blogger, you will learn that taking your own photos is the best way to go when you are on a budget. If you can’t afford to hire a professional photographer, you have to make due and get creative. Taking your own photos is a fairly easy process and only requires that you purchase a few helpful tools.

If you’re crunched for time, it is best that you batch your photos. This means bringing a few outfits with you and taking pictures in various locations, so you have enough pictures for your next blog posts.

Some Helpful Tips For Batching Photos

Finding locations on the day of your photoshoot can be very time consuming. It’s best to set some time before to look for appealing locations to take your photos. That way, all you have to think about is the outfits you want to wear.

Equipment I Use

I always try to utilize my friends whenever I can, but no one knows how to photography my angles like I do. This is why I will always prefer to take my own photos.

Tripod

Tripods are the best when it comes to taking hands-free photos. This is a piece of equipment every blogger should own. It allows you to take steady pictures anywhere you need to. You can set a time and pose and don’t have to worry about awkwardly holding your phone. I would recommend getting a sturdy tripod because it will last a lot longer and can stand stronger in various locations.

Smartphone Clip

A smartphone clip holds your phone secure on the tripod. There would be no other way to mount your phone on a tripod without it. I would, again, get one that is of quality, so it can last a long time.

Remote Shutter

No one wants to run back and forth to set a timer and hit the camera button after every picture. That can get pretty tiring and it can easily take you out of your element when you are taking photos. Purchasing a remote shutter will help you avoid that because all you have to do is sync the remote to your phone’s Bluetooth. Once you do that, you can just hit the button and it will automatically take the photo for you. It is such a time saver and you’ll be able to take many photos at one time.
