EDC Orlando 2021 was everything I expected and more. I had the best time with my friends and I was exhausted by the end. Signs of a good time right?
I decided to do what I did in 2019 and purchase a one-day pass for $99. I just feel like 3 days would be WAY too much for me and I am still convinced of that. My friend drove us, so we didn’t have to pay for an Uber. Check in, like last time, was smoothe and I was inside in under 5 mins. We spent the first part of our time walking around and going to the different stages. I was really interested in seeing Tiesto, but he wasn’t performing until 10:30pm, so there was plenty of time to explore.
ATMOSPHERE
I am not a big concert person, in fact, I hate most concerts and can only remember two, out of the many I have gone to, that I actually liked. Thankfully EDC makes the concert experience WAY more enjoyable. Everyone is so friendly and sweet. We compliment each other’s outfits and you can definitely feel the love all around. Even when the DJs performed, there was plenty of space around and no one was on top of each other. I could also easily get around the crowd if I needed to which definitely calmed my anxiety by A LOT.
FOOD
Honestly, the food was meh. Definitely nothing to brag about. I ordered the sausage dog and I was not impressed. It was pretty dry and there was no ketchup. I ate it though because I was starving, but it definitely was bland. I would definitely recommend getting a good meal before going to EDC because the food is overpriced and not so tasty. The drinks were good and strong though lol.
OUTFIT
I wanted to be a retro girl for EDC and I think I accomplished that look. I put flowers in my afro and wore this neon-colored top with a cutout. My pants were from Shein and they were bell bottoms which I thought tied the entire look together. They were too long when I received them in the mail, so my mom hemmed them for me. Shoutout to her because the finished product looked great. I paired the entire look with my black boots. I would highly recommend wearing comfortable boots because you are walking through a field that can sometimes be muddy and they are also very comfortable.
EXPERIENCE
I had a great time with my friends. I danced and laughed and made some new friends. It was a great time. I think I am officially done with my EDC Orlando experience as I feel like two times was enough, but I definitely enjoyed going both times. You meet such beautiful people at these festivals and everyone is just so cool and loving. I think everyone should go at lease once to experience it. I was more than exhausted after and even left while Tiesto was still performing. My feet and my back were hurting and I just wanted to jump into bed.
